MARGHERITA, PhD
In the last twenty years, I have participated into and coordinated project activities in areas such as organizational and digital transformation, process engineering, and new product development. Activities have included both academic and research endeavors and industry-related initiatives with companies and organizational networks.
Nowadays, I am mostly focused on two research and innovation areas: 1) Digital Human Resource Management (HRM) and HR Analytics; 2) Emergency and Crisis Management.
Digital Human Resource Management (HRM) and HR Analytics
I research and conduct coaching and consulting activities in areas such as AI and HRM, HRM Lifecycle, Employee Experience, and Talent Management.
I currently serve the Management Board of HUMAN-IT, a EU COST Action aimed to addresses the profound transformations reshaping the governance of human capital in response to exponential digital technologies and complex societal challenges. As these disruptions redefine the workplace, employee experience, and global job market, HUMAN-IT seeks to develop a forward-looking, interdisciplinary approach to Human Resource Management (HRM). https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA24167/
I am also the founder and coordinator of HUMANWISE, a large network of international experts (coming from more than 15 countries) operating in the field of Human Resource Management and technology-driven transformation of organizations.
In the field of Digital HRM, I help organize redefine their people management strategies and methods to enhance productivity, creativity and engagement of employees, thus enhancing overall employee experience and organizational performance.
I am a guitarist as well, and I often bring viewpoints and metaphors of music into my business narrative. For example, I have developed an approach to look at the electric guitar (my beautiful Telecaster in the picture below) as a way of interpreting human resources and the management of HR within organizations!!
Emergency and Crisis Management through Coordination Science
I coordinate consortia for submission of proposals to Horizon Europe and EU COST Action calls. I also coordinate a large network of international experts on the field of crisis and emergency management.
We are developing a new paradigm of coordination-enhanced crisis and response management. In today’s unpredictable world, effective crisis and emergency management is crucial! Whether you're a scholar seeking new insights or a practitioner looking for actionable strategies, this framework of 12 building blocks can offer a usable systems view to look into the lifecycle, enablers and mechanisms of crisis and emergencies. In the field of Emergency and Crisis Management, I can support organizations and institutions aiming to redefine their emergency management approaches and methods, with the ultimate goal of building more secure and resilient socio-tecnical systems and critical infrastructures.
